Wow! Look what just came up from our sawmill...

We haven't carried this species in over 5 years!

One of the densest woods in the world, Partridgewood is a very tight grained exotic that is prized for ornamental turnings and other high-end projects.

This species is extremely hard to find so we were ecstatic when we received about 100 BF worth of turning squares in a variety of sizes.
(Sizes range from 1.5" to 4" square x lengths of mostly 8" and up)

If you are fan of very dense woods such as Lignum Vitae, Gidgee, Pau Santo and Katalox-we highly recommend picking up some Partridgewood while we have it (which doesn't happen very often!)

Lignum Vitae Sculpture

This Sculpture was done by Peter Larsen way back in '87. It looks as though he used a solid lignum Vitae log. We still have a few logs of this size here at the shop.
