Just recieved these pictures of an incredibly beautiful guitar made out of our cocobolo. If you ever wondered how cocobolo works on a guitar please see read the email below:
-Hi, my name is Glenn D. Brown and I purchased some cocobolo from your company that was used to build a custom guitar. I recently took delivery of the guitar and as expected, people are knocked out by the stunning visual quality of the cocobolo. I'm also pleased with the sonic quality of the wood as it comprises the neck and body of my guitar, which sounds as good as it looks! I would love for you to display photos of the guitar to your customers as a wonderful example of a project utilizing your excellent product. Here are some photos of the guitar that you may use as you see fit; I hope that you will decide to share them. The guitar was built by Neal Moser and his staff at Moser Custom Shop, Kagel Canyon, CA.
Bowl turned by one of our customers out of Masur Birch from Finland. Masur birch log sections in the rough. It is highly prized for its end grain figure.
End table set made by our customer/past employee Wayne Silva. He used the same 2" natural edge cocobolo slabs, like the ones in the picture above. These slabs not only would look great as a single piece on say a coffee table, but as you can see they look great in other applications as well.
Customer Dean Moore's Cocobolo/flame koajewlery box picked up an award at the San Diego County fair @ the Del Mar Fair grounds. Congratulations Dean!!! Make sure to stop by the the Design in Wood exibit to check it out along with other projects by our customers such as the Cocobolo Rocking chair by Mike Wells of Tassajara Design.
If you like this table and want something really wierd, check out the bubinga end cut slab that we have in stock (6"thick x roughly 72" in diameter!!!) Now thats unique!!! click here for the post
